“About” Seems So Ordinary

Maybe I can come up with a more clever title for this necessary page. More than likely I will simply forget that it’s here. But thank you  for checking it out.

Stuff began as I outgrew the limitations of my former personal blog about motherhood.  I’m not all about motherhood anymore. It’s part of me, and a big, huge life defining part, but it’s not all I do.  I began that blog as a personal journal, I continue this site as a personal journal and a personal journal it shall evermore be.

There aren’t a lot of blinkies and buttons and crap, because I think of it like a very plain journal. The cover may be unadorned but the contents are where the excitement is.  If there are developments in my life that I want to share, I will do that here. If there are opinions, they are mine alone.  If there are copyrights…yeah, also mine alone. I see my paid work stolen all the time, there isn’t a lot I can do about that as irritating as it is. All content is owned by me, please share with proper attribution.

Anything that I review on this blog- and it won’t happen often- is because I felt you should know about it. Maybe I bought something that was super cool, or didn’t live up to the hype. Or maybe someone I know gifted me something that I truly loved so much I wanted to tell you about it. Maybe I read a book that I thought you should know about, although sometimes I do get Advanced Reader Copies, but I will tell you when I do.

Know this: I will never write a review because I am being paid to write one. I don’t accept PR firm freebies or paid endorsements.  I think that bloggers who do, do so for their own reasons and I don’t think negatively about them. Heck, they are probably thinking I’m an idiot because they get paid in stuff and cash… while I am working just as hard for nothing. Judging me would be their issue, not mine.

The blogs and websites in in my blogroll are there because I like them and think you might, too.  I will never link you up to a website or suggest that you check out a merchant that I don’t visit on my own and think it’s just the cat’s meow.

I won’t ever use the term, “cat’s meow” ever again.

TL;DR: All opinions herein are my own. I have not taken any payment for them unless otherwise stated and it won’t happen often. I will use this site to connect you with other work that I have done, and (godwillingandthecreekdon’trise) there was a monetary exchange for.
